In Case of Failure, Pull Here

When it comes to making decisions, Fear is the first player to offer it's assistance. Fear stands up and addresses the decision maker loudly and flamboyantly, talking over Reason and Happiness, and completely drowning out Courage. Reason sometimes makes a protest, and Happiness offers a soft whisper of a kinder future. But Fear simply protests louder, referencing past mistakes and future complications. Off in the corner, Courage leans against the wall casually watching the entire scene. For Courage is stubborn and unyielding, and refuses to be used against Fear unless the decision maker is fully committed. Courage does not need to be reminded of the past mistakes or future complications, but already has weighed those against the forfeiture of future happiness. Courage is much stronger than Fear, but most of the times Fear is the chosen player. Until the decision maker decides which team to play on - Fear, who comes with a lineup of Regret, Guilt, and Ultimate Unhappiness or Courage, whose lineup can include Self-Worth, Strength, Wisdom, and occasionally Complete and Total Bliss - nothing will be done. The decision maker would much prefer to hand down the job to someone else, give away total responsibility for the outcome and have someone to point the finger at in case of failure...
